Welcome
The production of high quality beef begins the way it has for over 100 years in North America - with the raising of calves alongside mother cows on Canadian pastures and grasslands. There is no better method for getting beef cattle off to a good start than fresh air, clean water and the individual attention paid to each calf by its mother cow. Beef cattle farmers and ranchers watch over the cows and their calves - there are over 90,000 men and women who raise beef cattle in Canada, contributing $20 Billion annually to the Canadian economy.

We're happy to introduce you to the cow-calf sector of the Canadian beef cattle industry. We want to give you a better understanding of how this sector operates, the care and concern that goes into producing beef cattle, and introduce you to some of the men and women who make it their livelihood.
